A single PPC device that integrates HPPC architecture with PPC software, enabling operators to manage multiple operating modes, divide set points between PV and BESS, and detect active power flow. PPC meets grid requirements and works with third-party SCADA, self-developed SCADA, and a standalone web application called HMI PPC, providing flexibility from the SCADA system onsite.

Four different control modes are available: PV plants can adjust their power output to meet POI active power setpoints, or local setpoints can be satisfied independently of POI setpoints.
The system maintains the PPC’s setpoint at POI through PV generation, with the BESS triggering only when a frequency event occurs, regulating plant output power accordingly.

Hybrid PPC controls hybrid site operation and protects the BESS by limiting battery charging/discharging capabilities, based on instantaneous SoC. This protection is configurable by site operators. The HPPC performs a balancing algorithm in multiple BESS subsystems to homogenize SoC by adjusting active power setpoints.
